9 News reports that the survivor in a tragic hit-and-run accident hopes that the young man who hit him and a police officer who had pulled him over learns a life lesson from what has happened. During a traffic stop in Englewood, near Broadway and Belleview, a driver struck the officer and the man he had pulled over while they stood in the road near their cars, and then drove away. He was arrested a few miles away, and faces several criminal charges, including drunken driving. The Englewood Police officer died at Swedish Medical Center, but the other man was treated and released. He has since expressed his hope that the driver will learn from his mistake.
